Pasadena-based ObEN , an Idealab-backed startup which is developing artificial intelligence technology for creating highly realistic, virtual reality avatars, has raised $7.7M the venture fund of the Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen, Third Wave Digital (Allen DeBevoise), Dream Maker Entertainment Ltd.
