Calabasas-based Ixia announced this morning that it has completed its acquisition of BreakingPoint Systems. Ixia, a provider of IP network testing equipment and software, said the buy will help address pre-deployment and production network monitoring, testing and optimization.

Ixia said Dell is using its IxLoad products to test its PowerEdge server line, for performance and virtualized server testing. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.
