We have universities like CalTech, UCLA, USC and many more. DemandMedia has already scaled a tech team to a considerable size in Santa Monica. My commute, for example, from Santa Monica to Century City is less than 15 minutes each way and I never have to take the freeway. But what you do have is more loyalty.

I live in the city of Santa Monica. We have world-class universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and more. In San Diego you have Qualcomm so an entire mobile industry has been spawned. Douglas Merrill, the former CIO of Google, is building his next company, ZestCash in LA. Let me use LA as an example. Los Angeles.
