Quality of Events Of course, the bigger issue with events is finding the ones where you will have a really good opportunity to network with interesting people. This is why I say that Local Event Organizers Need to Adopt Social Media. I guess I should confess that I used to go to a lot more networking events.

Of course there were variants – we preferred PostGres to MySQL and many people used other programming languages than PHP. It was driven by the introduction of open-source software, most notably what was called the LAMP stack.

Standalone URI shorteners work fine when you want to shorten mostly foreign URIs, but that’s a crappy approach when you want to submit your own stuff to social media. Because you throw away the ability to totally control your traffic from social media, and search engine traffic generated by social media as well.
