At the tender age of 15, Tanz teamed up with his friend Michael Schneider (the CEO of MobileRoadie ), to create the design firm Fluid Design. Early on GumGum began to experiment with overlaying rich media ads through Flash with photos until technology progressed and they moved over to Javascript. Much bigger.

Social media will be pervasive in the enterprise and is primarily driving by customer interactions. It was a terrible user experience.

The problem with most of the share badges out there is that they load a Javascript file from an external source which can take several seconds on a bad day. Javascript calls are an easy way for Facebook and StumbleUpon to put their links on your page but most networks also have a way to share through a URL. Thanks for the comment!

They became both a thought leader in the space as well as a beautifully designed product. The disadvantage is that you can’t install a lot of additional tools that use Javascript. Much of my traffic is through referring websites and/or social media. Social media is ephemeral. You then need a URL.
