We're in Santa Monica, and sometime people think we're a venue or rental space for events, but what we are, is a 100 percent software company.

All the data actually suggests with the growth of mobile, inbound sales calls will double from 30 billion to 60 billion in 3 years (source: Kelsey). It’s why the first company I ever invested in as a VC – Invoca – just announced a $20 million funding by Accel Partners. Calls are changing but not dying. Not so fast.

One of the hotter topics at the last Silicon Beach Fest (SBF) in Santa Monica was the exodus of homegrown tech talent. The idea with the most momentum was an effort to change the tax code to offer greater incentives for startups and venture funds to headquarter in L.A. Some refer to it as “brain drain.”

Recently, Santa Monica-based Docstoc (www.docstoc.com) launched a new marketplace on its site, for anyone interested in selling professional documents. Do you screen all of the documents on the marketplace, or how does that work? Jason Nazar: We screen the profiles, but we don't screen the content.

It was just a matter of process to add iOS, and later, Android to the output, and start designing games for the larger screens, later bringing those games down to run on BREW and Java after that. That said, it's sometimes difficult to compete against better funded competitors. It hones our focus a little more.
