This morning, Moonshots Capital (www.moonshotscapital.com), led by Kelly Perdew and Craig Cummings , announced its first formal fund, a $19M seed stage fund. What we would do, is we would round up ten other angel investors, get $25,000 from each of them, and then roll up our sleeves and help that entrepreneur find venture capital.

I recently wrote a post on angel financing covering the topic of convertible notes but I realized I was thinking about the issue more from investor perspective and a very narrow topic of how to price the round. Very few people fund individuals. The key to getting money is that the people writing the check trust you.

was launched with nearly $2mm in Angel funding from the Pasadena Angels and Tech Coast Angels. We had an advocate in each Angel group who aggressively lead the effort. Someone has to do the heavy lifting of advocating, organizing, and building enthusiasm about your company within their Angel group.
