First, you’ll need a platform. The disadvantage is that you can’t install a lot of additional tools that use Javascript. I started with the hosted version and then migrated to an installed version so I could use Google Analytics and some other products. Then you can install Google Analytics to your website.

Improving Website and Wordpress Performance with Hard-Coded Share Buttons
