Mark Suster , the highly visible venture capitalist blogger at GRP Partners, has invested in UK-based TreeHouse , an online, video-focused site for helping users learn web design and development. Other investors in the firm include Kevin Rose, Reid Hoffman, David Sze, Josh Elman, and Chamath Palihapitiya.

Los Angeles-based GRP Partners , has invested in UK-based TreeHouse , an online, video-focused site for helping users learn web design and development. GRP's investment was led by Mark Suster, who announced the deal on his blog. The deal was worth $600,000.

We had to figure out what would help the other 90 percent build better and more interesting sites. We noticed that many of those sites were not pre-populating the site with content, were not drawing from external channels, and were not starting conversations on Twitter, Facebook, and elsewhere. We'd love to take money for that.
