Just about every Startup at some point and especially if you do not have a designer, is going to need icons to help spruce up those websites. Before Iconfinder I was working as a web designer and front-end developer, next to studying computer science and business administration. It’s basically Google for icons.

I then went back to Europe to create a company called Fruugo, which was a big startup back in the day, in 2006 in Europe. In 2009, I got my green card and decided to move back here. We want to create something that serves a purpose, has a unique design, and is farily simple to use, and where people can understand what that app does.

building Fine Art America in 2006 as a part time project, and launched the web site in 2007. 2009, at which point it was generating enough revenue for me to live on it full time. In 2006, the whole concept was new and novel, and I converted by engineering site to an art site. I grew it from 2007 through. I figured there.

In 2005 he was graduated and took a job in South Carolina working for technology company while he started his own web design company on the side. By 2006 he had received proper authorization to move back to the US to join a company in the town I grew up in: Sacramento, California. He spent a bunch of this time in Canada. Crazy, huh?

The biggest media attention in our industry went to the so-called “super angels&# during the 2009/10 timeframe and while I don’t believe there is such thing as a super angel I believe that much media attention was deserved. These funds were active back in 2006 when I was raising money for my second company.
