We had over 30 pitches and classic SUW team voting that followed, resulting in the final 12 most popular ideas. Also of note was Ryan Orrico’s launch of HandJob, a new form of job applicant screening and referral tracking. With the pitching energy escalating in the room, regular pitches began short after.

And it certainly seems to have worked with reports of: Branchout has seen explosive growth in January 2011, growing from 10K to 250K monthly users, with a total usership now in the hundreds of thousands. All of these generate social interaction. I have no idea how it chose these friends. That's impressive growth!

We built a Proof of Concept in 2010, went into closed beta in 2011 and opened up to the public in Dec 2012. The idea was pioneered by renowned and award winning high impact serial entrepreneurs, Robert Sussman and Lance Fanaroff. What inspired you to come up with the idea? When was it launched? But with the introduction of Apple TV, Google TV, the Boxee Box & other initiatives it’s clear that this battle will heat up in 2011. So entering 2011 why does this matter? The idea of forced bundles will seem archaic. The digital living room battle will take place over the next 5-10 years, not just the next 1-2.

Give them something they can use – tips, incentives, new ideas, fun, and inspiration. Allowing your social media efforts to stagnate. Gone are the days when companies could put up a website that sat on the screen like an electronic business card. Lead generation continues to be the biggest benefit of social networking for U.S.
