Hollywood-based, music-related blog and content firm Buzznet has reportedly cut employees, according to a report from Digital Music News. According to the publication, citing a representative of the firm, Buzznet has eliminated 10 employees, from a total of 89 staff. This publication has not yet confirmed the cuts with the firm.

Hollywood-based Buzz Media the venture backed content, media, and community site, has made more cuts , this time at the firm's Idolator blog. According to a post by one of its editors earlier this month, the site has cut "pretty much all" of Idolator's contributing writers, including columnists and daily bloggers.

Los Angeles-based BUZZMEDIA , the pop culture and music blog publisher which runs such sites as Celebuzz, Sterogum, Buzznet, and Idolator, announced today that it has hired Bill Jensen as Vice President/General Manager of Music. Jensen was previously Director of New Media at Village Voice Media, the weekly newspaper chain.
