Demand Media is an online media company operating two strategically-linked businesses: an integrated content and social media platform, and registrar solutions. MySpace is one of the world’s largest social networks, with about 125 million users. He blogs here and tweets here. It filed for an IPO on August 6th.

The user generated content on MySpace is user profiles, updates, blogs and pictures. This could also be done by leveraging a partnership (or buyout) of a site like Mahalo. MySpace HAS followers, what it doesn’t have are people excited to promote themselves on their platform. Local newspapers are dying all across the country.
