San Diego-based Nirvanix , the cloud storage service operator, has snagged the current CIO of Zynga as its new CEO, according to the company Monday. Current CEO Dru Borden will become Senior Vice President Planning and Development, and will remain on the company's board of directors.

San Diego-based Nirvanix, which operates an online, storage-as-a-service which competes against Amazon's S3 storage service, has shuffled its CEOs, the firm said today, replacing CEO Patrick Harr with Jim Zierick. Zierick has also previously been at Peregrine Systems and McKinsey & Company.
