Hours after the panelists debated the future of content distribution at the Silicon Beach @ USC conference, across campus at the Annenberg Innovation Lab a remarkable product demo was taking place by Coincident.TV. Each of these platforms represents a variety of “screens” to view from. People are not simply watching the TV anymore.

I’m comfortable with introductions and then getting into the demo.&#. I believe in this so much that, despite my post advising you to be prepared for the *norm* in VC, I wrote a post about a company that came in for a presentation and never even got the slides out or presented a demo. Mobile app? I funded them 8 weeks later.

We held a 90-minute demo session where 150 of LA’s VC’s and senior technology executives watched the LPLA V2 group present in small groups of 12-15 each. Walk into any Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Southern California and you can’t miss their digital screens. And of course we had, TheMan.

Nintendo, Sony, Ouya, Oculus VR, and other companies have stopped by to show off what indie developers can do. Sony had one of the largest booths, showing off games on their Sony Xperia mobile phone, Playstation Via, Playstation 3, and the new Playstation 4. IndieCade wasn’t all about the consoles and TV screens.
