Those programs--epitomized by YCombinator in the Bay Area, and TechStars in Boulder, Colorado--attract newly minted entrepreneurs with a mixture of cash and mentoring, and a program which rapidly takes ideas and turns them into viable, executing businesses. Those mentors are not just Bruce and I, although we are full time on this.

It goes without saying that if you find yourself in a really negative headspace PLEASE reach out to any trusted mentor, friend or family member. He enacted a program to proactively offer payment holidays to customers in obviously “hit” industries like travel & entertainment. I imagine many of you are, too. you should do it.

The rules that I drew up required that every member, in his turn, should produce one or more queries on any point of Morals, Politics, or Natural Philosophy, to be discuss’d by the company; and once in three months produce and read an essay of his own writing, on any subject he pleased. Optimize on people who are: Entertaining.

Although many are entertaining, most fail to provide entrepreneurs with a sufficient return on their time investment. At the beginning of the index, Guy writes, “I hope Robert Cialdini checks this index.” Ask For Mentoring. Like King, his writing style is breezy and engaging. No doubt, he did.
