Agoura Hills-based wireless gateway developer Nomadix reported Tuesday that it has reached a settlement with Wayport, Inc., over a patent infringement case. According to Nomadix, the settlement includes a license to AT&T, under Nomadix patents relating to Internet access technologies. over its patents back in 2009.

They will be more willing to pay a royalty fee if your product gets them to market earlier or is protected by patent to create a barrier to their competition. If so, be aware of the issue of how you can and do verify the licensee’s report of usage. How do I appraise my intellectual property to estimate royalty rates?

But unlike the popular press reporting of this conflict — 80% of the time it is founder-to-founder conflict and not investor-to-founder conflict. Those seldom get reported. At times I’m sure it feels terrible to be a publicly traded company but ultimately I believe the sunshine of publicly reported numbers produces better results.

A series of reports are circling the web regarding a new top secret project being performed by Apple. No reports have indicated as of yet as to whether Apple’s new project will have similarities to other auto projects currently being undertaken by companies such as Google and Tesla. The project is officially known as Titan.
