Not Betting on Flash

I view the point of this blog to provide my thoughts and perspectives as an Acting CTO mostly concerned with Startup Development to entrepreneurs and other CTOs. Do we include Flex or Flash as a delivery technology? Instead I'm betting on HTML/JavaScript. This got quite a lot of passionate response. That's my bet.

Big Data Storage Goes DNA

As IBM goes flash with its acquisition of Texas Memory Systems and the recent public launch of Data Collective for Big Data entrepreneurs DNA was the least expected move for storage. However Dr. Church is confident the costs will drop with time and the technology might be available in future.

GumGum Makes Images Profitable for Publishers

Tanz has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine “Young Millionaires of 2011 Special Report.” Early on GumGum began to experiment with overlaying rich media ads through Flash with photos until technology progressed and they moved over to Javascript. The technology is a work in progress that continues to evolve.
