It says that selling an airplane ticket for $500 and getting paid a $5 fees by the airlines (1% gross margin) is not the same thing as selling $500 of software that you built (>90% gross margin). In our industry we call that a TAM (total addressable market) and I’m sure you can even Google methods for calculating a TAM.

It’s also a very exciting time here in LA Tech with over 6 accelerators and incubators springing up over the past year. Teams reconvened Saturday morning at 9:00 AM and continued to code and build their startup throughout the day. By 10:00 PM, teams were working away into the night. making this their first SWLA.
