This has been a long-time dream of Tim Berners-Lee , the man who (really) invented the World Wide Web. He calls his dream the ‘ Semantic Web ’ (or Web 3.0), meaning it understands user context. He and many other experts believe that the Semantic Web will act more like a personal assistant than a search engine.

"It's been tough to shake people loose from companies," Stuart Macfarlane , CEO of El Segundo-based iChange , explains, saying that the firm is actively looking to hire two to three web developers. Mangers said Webvisible today has slightly under 300 employees, and hopes to have slightly under 500 employees by the end of the year.

It's a pretty established, mature market, which has existed since the beginning of the printing press, but has evolved forward for hundreds of years and has been going through a lot of changes in the last twenty years. They got an NSF grant, and basically started up the original web site, as a video web site.

Between the apps, Cited and Fixed ticket dismissal rates have been reported at anywhere between 20-80%, but it is still early in the game and LA parking enforcement policies have come under review for illegal practices.
