Here's an example of that kind of email. Most of them suffer from lack of activity, but it's worth a shot. Ask them about your concept.

If you have a team of 10 people then by definition 90% of the time spent on activities is not put in by you and on a team of 100 it’s 99%. In fact, 50% of our investments are in Southern California, from Santa Barbara to San Diego. And because “communications” is a two-way activity, great leaders are listeners.

When he had the idea for his company, he didn’t write a long business plan or try to raise money to hire an agency to build a website for him. There simply are NOT enough venture capital firms in the Southern California. In the bay area there are dozens of firms that are actively making investments.
