Venice, California-based anonymous messaging app developer Whisper said Tuesday that it has named Shelby Huston Haro as the company's Vice President of Sales. Haro is from the entertainment industry, and has served at Maverik Digital, GetGlu, Penske Media Corp, along with Flixster, Rotten Tomatoes and Fandango.

ZEFR will continue to focus on its other business, in context-sensitive advertising for YouTube, and will have around 150 employees left in that business unit. The sale is not the first for ZEFR, which got its start posting licensed movie clips to YouTube. It sold that business, Movieclips.com, in 2014, to Fandango.
