Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX has opened up signups for its Starlink satellite Internet, allowing interested customers to sign up for ordering the service on its website. SpaceX requests users' email and service address, and says that orders are "first come, first serve".

Los Angeles-based subscription airline Surf Air is extending its service into Orange County, with a new partnership with helicopter charter firm BLADE , the company said on Wednesday. Hawthorne-based SpaceX successfully delivered its largest, geosynchronous satellite payload, the Hispasat 30W-6, to orbit last night, in a late evening launch from Cape Canaveral. In a step towards qualifying the firm''s spacecraft for use in transporting astronauts, Hawthorne-based SpaceX has passed two, critical milestones for NASA''s Commercial Crew Integrated Capability (CCiCap) initiative, NASA said Tuesday afternoon. NASA also said that SpaceX is on track to complete all of those requirements by mid-2014.
