We recently sat down with Luc Berlin, co-founder of Miigle, a SoCal startup that has an aggressive global mission to bring entrepreneurs together from around the world. You can be an entrepreneur and at the same time you can be a mentor or an investor to someone else’s project. Back then, it was just him following his dream.

Southern California has had its share of new startup accelerators launch in the last few months, however, few people here have actually experienced an accelerator firsthand. However Gmail is only private email conversations. We have some great mentors now. Ultimately, we're build tools for marketers on top of that.

I acted as the occasional mentor, advisor and coach to Ethan. So the team set out to solve the “chicken or the egg” problem by onboarding > 1,000 high-quality merchants across 50 service categories while going deep in two micro-areas within LA as our test market. The company was called Red Beacon.
