I’ve been thinking a lot about what it takes to be a great leader and seem to be having this conversation a lot lately about Facebook, Yahoo!, I wrote several of the characteristics when I did the Top 10 (11) Attributes of an Entrepreneur. Contrast that with years of decay at Yahoo! In my experience entrepreneurs too worried about being loved make poor decisions and thus poor leaders. Entrepreneurs should care more about respect. where many of the leaders avoided the hard internal debates that led to the peanut-butter manifesto. That’s certainly not true.
