A Los Angeles-based startup, PaeDae , is looking to change that with a new platform it is calling BARTR , which it says will let mobile app developers exchange traffic and users.

SlimSurveys , the new startup headed by former TweetPhoto founder Sean Callahan, has just released a new development platform and API, the company is announcing today. The tool lets developers run "micro-surveys" of their users, on anything from application experience and feedback to use in political and public opinion polls.

Santa Monica-based app testing and anlytics developer Burstly has opened up access to its mobile monetization platform, extending access to its SkyRocket product via a self-serve offering. Burstly announced the move this morning, in addition to reorganizing its corporate structure around its multiple mobile app services.

Los Angeles-based mobile ad network operator Airpush said this morning that it has reached $4M in monthly developer payouts, and over 90,000 live apps using its mobile ad network. Airpush allows mobile application developers on Android to include banner, push notification, interstitial,and icon ads in their apps.
