Pasadena-based PostUp , the Internet advertising firm spawned out of Idealab, said Friday afternoon that it has acquired UberTwitter , developer of a Twitter client that runs on the BlackBerry Platform. The company said its software is designed to collect "tens of thousands" of social media items per hour, and uses the X1 engine to allow users to search and find information.
Idealab Sells Off Domain For $1M

A UK-based firm running an online price comparison shopping site said today that it has acquired the domain name Top10.com from Pasadena-based Idealab , in a deal worth over $1M. Top 10 said Idealab has received a 7 percent share in the company as part of the deal, and that Idealab's Bill Gross has joined the firm's advisory board.
