Los Angeles-based PartySlate , a new startup which lets event planners showcase venues, parties, and events they have hosted, has raised $3M in a funding round. PartySlate is led by CEO and co-founder Julie Novack, who teamed with John Haro (CTO, Co-founder) and Mark Semon (Executive Creative Director) on the new startup.

So, here goes: Dr. Tony Karrer Over the past 15 years, Tony has been a part-time CTO for more than 30 startups. Most notably, he was the original CTO for eHarmony for its first four years making him partly responsible for more than 4% of the marriages every year. He is a frequent speaker at trade and industry events.

Increase in the number of inquiries I've been getting for: Free Startup CTO Consulting Sessions and/or other similar kinds of inquiries.

The startup--led by longtime LA entrepreneur Mark Jeffrey--has developed a system which uses mobile apps running on OS, Apple Watch, Android and Alexa where users can summon "emergency help" from their social circle, which the company calls "citizen-rescuers" who are alerted in the event of an emergency, dispatching aid closest to the situation.

Luckily, I've found a GREAT way to make my time spent at events much better. I call it: Prenetworking I spend about 30 minutes prior to the event going through the list of attendees and reaching out ahead of the event to suggest that we meet while we are there. I try to do this roughly about 2-3 days ahead of the event.

Diep was previously Program Director at StartEngine, and also runs the Schmoozd networking events in Los Angeles. Karrer is a local part-time CTO at TechEmpower, who has helped many of LA''s top tech startups get off the ground.

Ulrich Kranz, originally the company’s CTO, has since taken over the day-to-day operations of Canoo. It hit a new low in March 2019 when Stefan Krause allegedly asked his wife to agree to a postnuptial agreement, which would presumably handle how shares of Canoo would be divided in the event of a divorce.
