Epicor Software , the supply chain management software company whose roots are in Orange County, has been put up for sale by private equity firm Apax Partners, according to reports Tuesday. Epicor--which is now based in Austin, Texas, but which had been based in Irvine for years--was sold to Apax Partners back in 2011.
