Carlsbad-based Business.com , which operates an online site offering up resources for businesses, said it has named a new VP of Sales--and completed an overhaul of its website. The company, which is now owned by JMI Equity, said it named Rick Szatkowski as its new VP of Sales. Business.com is led by Tony Uphoff.

JMI Equity Boosts CouponCabin.com

San Diego-based JMI Equity is the lead investor in a first round of funding for online coupons site CouponCabin.com , which said Thursday evening that it has raised $54M in a funding round from JMI Equity. CouponCabin.com said it generated more than $500M in online sales for its merchants in 2010.
