Interesting term used in a ZD Net article - Platform as a Service (PaaS) Unfortunately, Peter sells the promise and ignores the reality. Some other points - LAMP,Net, Java - doesn't make much difference. Server and client in Java. Java as a platform wasn't ready to deliver on client side. I would tend to agree.
