To this day I’m astounded that IBM, Google, Sun, Microsoft and others didn’t offer this service and Amazon did. At the time we viewed Amazon’s offering, EC2 as too nascent. Factual was created in 2007 by Gil Elbaz, the founder of Applied Semantics. Work it did.
