I won’t belabor this – I have an investment in this space ( ad.ly ) so I’m biased. I think everybody heard about this acquisition. I think this classifies as a “crack filler&# and I’m not sure I would have done the investment for that reason. In my mind, not a typical VC investment.

It is also true that there are good deals and good entrepreneurs that can't find anyone to invest in them.

He said it was better than the Yellow Pages because he would provide pricing transparency. He wanted to build direct customer relationships to get product feedback but only 2% of customers would ever return their registration cards. If it worked in the Yellow Pages, why not on the Internet? We talked about patents.
