Hermosa Beach-based Sandler Partners , a distributor and provider of communications, telecom, and cloud IT services, has acquired X4 Solutions , a MIdwestern "master agency" in the telecom and cloud services area. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Last week, El Segundo-based Accordent Technologies , a developer of webcasting and presentation services and software, was acquired by Polycom, in a $50M deal. It was interesting to see the acquisition of Accordent - it seems unusual to have only put in $4M in to a company in so many years, and yet you had a good exit?
