In 2012 the company rolled out Inktank, an innovative open source storage solution based on Ceph’s distributed file system, which was subsequently sold to Red Hat for $175 million. In the mid 1960’s, large mainframe manufacturers, such as IBM, Burroughs and Honeywell, provided complete IT solutions.
