The topic is: Betting Your Company On An Internet Platform? A very interesting topic, especially for those of us involved in developing for start-ups. Especially when there are things like: Amazon S3 / EC2 / AWS outage this morning. However, these platforms could be interesting for prototype and pilot solutions.

Santa Barbara-based Eucaplytus Systems , the cloud management software firm backed by New Enterprise Associates, Benchmark Capital and BV Capital, said earlier this week that it has linked up with newScale and rPath on a new private cloud platform.

Santa Barbara-based RightScale , a firm which develops cloud computing management software, has linked its products with New Relic, a developer of application performance management software, the firms said this week. RightScale said that its Cloud Computing Management Platform can be used with New Relic's RPM software.
