They then launched processing capabilities (EC2) and we startups suddenly didn’t need to buy production servers. Not Google. Amazon allowed 22-year-old tech developers to launch companies without even raising capital. Then they launched a simple database, management tools and so on. Amazon changed our industry.

Fox bought MySpace for $580 million and then did a deal with Google worth more than the purchase price to serve up ads. The Past (1985-2002).
