The model is not perfect and will need to improve with each round, but it will help reduce the amount of time we (TechEmpower) need to allocate to each round''s sanity checks, meaning quicker turn-around of rounds (see how I spun that as a good thing?). Starting now, we aim to be on a monthly cycle of running official rounds.

We retired our in-house i7-2600K hardware environment for Round 10, and we changed our Amazon EC2 environment to c3.large Go remains a strong performer in the smaller-server scenario as demonstrated by our EC2 c3.large Round 10 does not include Windows tests, but we''d very much welcome any help catching Windows up for the next round.

The Go community is helping diagnose the problem and we expect its database performance to be improved in Round 4 or soon thereafter. Openresty takes the lead for multiple queries on EC2. The JSON tests on i7 have improved dramatically, with Go at just slightly over 200,000 requests per second.
