They know that the money they invest may be lost. The key to getting money is that the people writing the check trust you. Make sure these people understand the nature of early-stage angel investing. How much do they like to invest? In SoCal we have Crosscut Ventures, Matt Coffin, Mike Jones, Klaus Schauser, etc.
