There's a similar installer for Linux, and going beyond the workstations and into the data center, we use Ansible to push the products out to those endpoints. I also spend a chunk of my career in software development, working on enterprise applications. What's your background? I've worked for both large and small companies.

I have always been in engineering, and was a software developer for some time, and also Director of Engineering. I've actually gone to four startup, so far, taking them from prototype to production, when they are able to sell the company or have it run on its own. How far is the product? A lot of it was around stability.

One of the big, open source successes in both Southern California and the software world was Gluecode Software , which was based in Los Angeles and acquired by IBM in 2005. Our open source powers Hadoop, Jetty powers Google--if you look at our community site, the list of products that use use is exhaustive.
