Grocery startup Mercato spilled years of data, but didn’t tell its customers

Mercato was founded in 2015 and helps over a thousand smaller grocers and specialty food stores get online for pickup or delivery, without having to sign up for delivery services like Instacart or Amazon Fresh. Each record also had the user’s IP address of the device they used to place the order.
