Micro-messaging service Twitter said this morning that it is banning third-party advertising in its stream, taking direct aim at Los Angeles-based Twitter advertising service Ad.ly. is backed by GRP Partners, Greycroft Ventures, and LowerMyBills founder Matt Coffin.
