VIRURL Adds RSS Ads

Los Angeles-based VIRURL , the provider of online advertising technology, said Thursday that it has added a new feature called RSS Ads. The firm said its new feature allows publishers to use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to automatically distribute and create ads from a publisher's articles. The firm said its RSS Ads feature is being used to help content owners automate the process of creating and launching its content ads.

Lunch.com Adds Personalized RSS Feeds

Johnson, told its users today that it has unveiled a new, personal RSS feed feature to the site. Los Angeles-based Lunch.com , the online social media and networking site run by J.R. According to Lunch.com, the new feed can be added to blogs, personal sites, or elsewhere to help users promote their content. Lunch.com allows users to find and share recommendations on products and other topics with other users, and find others who share similar interests.

Demand Media Spends $707K On Spanish Language Firm

The acquisition looks to be even bigger than the two most recently announced acquisitions by Demand Media, of Los Angeles-based IndieClick and El Segundo-based RSS Graffiti. Buried in Demand Media's last quarterly results were the total acquisition costs for RSS Graffiti--for a mere $16,367--and IndiClick Media--a grand total of approximately $14,000.
