San Diego-based Staccato Communications, which develops ultra-wideband (UWB) and wireless USB technology, has scored a design win with Imation. Staccato said that Imation will use the firm's USB solution as part of a wireless projector system. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.

Irvine-based ClariPhy , the developer of mixed signal digital signal processing chips for the optical networking industry, said today that it has tied together with Oclaro on a 40 Gbps reference design. The two said the design will accelerate the adoptions of coherent optical components in the optical networking market.
