I was reading Chris Dixon’s blog tonight. I came across this blog post about getting a computer science degree as the best degree for getting into venture capital or working at a VC-backed start up. I then worked in a computer store called Software Centre in high school and college (UCSD).

“Imagine you were a Phd wireless chip designer out of UCSD and then Qualcomm. They often are very good at getting information out of people, helping create a framework for making decisions and pushing for support amongst the organization from those that back the decision and those that do not. Leaders are intelligent, for sure.
