We also talked a lot about Stickybits (who uses the SimpleGeo platform) and Occipital who has the red-hot RedLaser scanning product. Assignmint is a web-based platform to list freelancing work for employers and help writers find the right freelance job for them and standardizes the paperwork between the two parties. It’s not only the publishers; writers need to be educated too. We are hoping to educate new writers. This is where Assignmint comes in.

Usually I tell them to study Upworthy & Buzzfeed. I’m not an investor but truthfully I love Upworthy and its goal is distributing content with a social mission to educate people on complex social issues. And while a YouTube subscriber is useful it is still trapped inside the platform. Here is an example.
