I know readers of this post aren’t in that demo but that’s what the data says. And while Maker Studios is pure entertainment, TreeHouse is pure education. Programming should be the middle class job of the next 20 years. And I’ve offered to actually teach some classes in recruiting for tech professionals.

The irony is that currently both these onetime best in class companies are now in deep trouble. The result is that I, the reader, had no interest in what was being sold in the ad yet I am a consumer in both verticals. On opposite pages were two ads for two very large companies. How does that happen?
