The acquisition is the end of a long road for Greenplum--originally based in Sherman Oaks--and its investors, which includes San Diego's Mission Ventures. The firm appears to have gone through at least one recapitalization, and multiple executive team changes, and moved to Silicon Valley in the meantime.
