Many of the founders of these companies are surprised to learn that I'm willing to review what they are doing (maybe an hour) and get on the phone for an hour with them and provide free advice. What's you believe is your biggest technology risk, if any? Have you raised capital? Do I have to write up the overview?

And do I fit as a Part-Time CTO , Technology Advisor , CTO Founder , Acting CTO ? And he was still in the process of raising additional capital, so it was equity only. These “startups” are almost always mostly-non-technical founders offering 1-2% premoney for a “lead developer” position. Was it a Startup Founder Developer Gap ?

He eventually founded and sold consumer health firm ViSalus to a public company and is now back making investments, in technology companies, as a venture capitalist here at Los Angeles-based HashtagOne (www.hashtagone.com). It was really the same business, but with less capital. What's the theme of your investments?

I’ve been meaning to write about this for a while and was going to use AngelList by Nivi & Naval as the basis for my example and the perfect prompt came yesterday when I read Fred Wilson’s blog post on AngelList.
