Of course, there are still caveats - can they pass data security audits, what is your downtime risk and cost of downtime, what's the risk of the platform vendor. He sees this as similar to what happened with SMTP, POP, HTTP, etc. Benefit of a proprietary platform can be finding customers. I would tend to agree. Completely agree.
